About Me
During my time at the University of East Anglia, where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature, I wrote for the Global News section of the university newspaper, Concrete. I was awarded 'Best Global Article' in Concrete's 2020 News Awards for ‘Xinjiang: China’s Internment Camps’.
After successfully achieving a Gold Standard in my NCTJ with PA Training, I joined a novel team employed by PA Media to support their biggest client, Reach.
I wrote for MyLondon, finding and pitching original story ideas for articles which captured and and improved their audience engagement. I was later selected to join their 'London Boroughs' project where I was given a 'boots on the ground' role in Redbridge, East London, to produce a variety of local journalism stories.
Following this, I became a Social Media Journalist for PA Media, supporting all areas of the Editorial team. I sourced and verified user-generated content across a multitude of online platforms and spoke to case studies to supplement PA's coverage of major breaking news events. I was nominated for Social Media Journalist of the Year in the 2023 Editorial Awards.
A role became available for a Real Life Features Writer for PA Media, a role I currently hold. I source, interview, write and produce a minimum of three human interest exclusives each week, which are covered by a host of national, regional and magazine publications.
